Terms & Conditions – Portsmouth Banners
Accepted File Formats
We accept artwork in the following formats: PDF, PSD, AI, PNG, EPS, CDR, TIFF, and JPEG. For the best print results, please provide files with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI.
To ensure clean trimming and finishing, include a 2-inch bleed on all sides of your artwork.
Print-Ready Files & Proofing
Once we receive your artwork, our team will convert it into a print-ready format. Please note the following:

Pantone colours are not supported. All files are converted to CMYK, which may cause slight colour shifts.

If your file passes resolution checks with no visible issues, we’ll proceed to print to avoid delays.

A digital proof will also be provided for layout reference. It is your responsibility to review and approve layout, spelling, and colour.
We require written email approval before printing begins. Delays in approval beyond 1:00 PM will move your job to the next business day.
Colour variation of 10–15% is within industry tolerance due to screen and printer calibration differences.
Product Quality & Construction
Portsmouth Banners uses large-format digital printing, best viewed from a distance of 2 metres or more. These are not photographic-quality prints.
Size Tolerances: Minor variation of up to 2–5 cm may occur during production.
Banner assembly:

Banners under 10 ft are printed in one piece.

Banners over 10 ft may include professional seamless joins.

Hemming is chargeable on banners under 60 square feet.
Delivery & Packaging
Standard orders are shipped within 5–6 working days after artwork approval—not from the payment date. Always order ahead of key deadlines.
Packaging Details:

Items over 110 cm x 110 cm may be folded for shipping, which can cause creases or discolouration. These are not considered defects.

If you prefer your banner rolled on a tube, select that option at checkout (additional cost and +1 day on delivery).

These depend on your artwork, complexity, and availability. To qualify, your file must be approved before 1:00 PM. Late approvals may incur a 50% express surcharge to ensure next-day or same-day delivery.
Returns & Refunds
Because all banners are custom made, returns are limited to the following:

Defective printing (excluding minor colour variation)

Wrong size or incorrect product vs. your approved spec

Missing finishes (eyelets, hems, pole pockets)
To request a return:

Contact us within 24 hours of delivery

Email support@portsmouthbanners.co.uk with your order number in the subject

Attach clear photos from 2 metres away showing the issue
Do not accept delivery if packaging is damaged. Acceptance implies approval of condition.
If our dispatch delay causes you to miss a deadline and the item is no longer usable, refuse the parcel and notify us immediately. Courier delays are not eligible for refunds.
Return shipping is at your expense. We do not cover return transit unless the product is faulty or incorrect.
Fraud Prevention & Order Protection
To prevent fraud, all printed banners are photographed and weighed before dispatch. False claims may lead to legal action. Portsmouth Banners reserves the right to reclaim costs.
Design Ownership & Intellectual Property
All custom artwork, visual layouts, and creative files made by Portsmouth Banners remain our intellectual property.
We may use photos of final designs (approved or submitted by you) for marketing purposes.
If a refund is issued after design approval, we will deduct a 50% design fee from your refund.
Liability & Disputes
Our liability is strictly limited to the order value.
In the event of a payment dispute (e.g. PayPal or card provider), their resolution will be final. We will provide full supporting evidence.
Privacy & Communications
By ordering from Portsmouth Banners, you accept our Privacy Policy and agree to receive relevant email communications. You may unsubscribe at any time by contacting us at portsmouthbanners@gmail.com.
Use of Phone Numbers & Consent for WhatsApp and SMS Updates
By submitting your contact number, you consent to receive transactional or delivery-related updates via SMS or WhatsApp, where applicable.
OTHERS

Our liability on any order is limited to the total order value.

Any claims raised through PayPal or merchant services are final and cannot be re-challenged.
